1050ti Gaming Laptop won't Enable Dedicated Graphics Card

I just bought the new Lenovo Legion Y530. I upgraded the storage and added a 256gb nvme SSD. Cloning the OS to the new drive didn't work, so I reinstalled windows to the SSD using a USB boot drive.


Everything works great. It's super fast now, but when I try to play any games, the 1050ti isn't being used. I disabled the integrated graphics, but then it says I'm using the Microsoft basic display driver. I then make sure all the drivers are downloaded. Geforce experience says I'm good...The windows driver update thing says I'm good...but I'm still unable to see the Nvidia control panel and enable the card using that. I try to download the Nvidia software package, and then it says it can't download because I have a wrong version of windows. I manually updated windows, but afterwards it says the same thing.

I end up resetting the pc, wiping the files, and reinstalling windows. Same problems occur.

I am so stuck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Although I'd boot into BIOS and make sure the Nvidia is set as default.

Okay so I fixed it. I had to download the manufacturer (Lenovo) drivers from their website. It works great now.
