So i build my first pc using my old GPU, but when i install it the fans work but it don't show display, the only solution i have is using the other PCIe slot that is gen 3.0
My build rn is a
Ryzen 7 5800x
Asus ROG strix B550-F (Wifi)
Zotac 1050ti mini (https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-mini)
any ideas on why it doesn't display on the PCIe gen 4.0 ?
i plan to upgrade it in the end of next month and i don't really think is a problem on the slots... every thing else works fine

HI

Afaik it should work on the "4th gen pci slot"

it's backward compatible, i would suspect the issue to be with your mobo or mobo firmware

Do you have a spare gpu that you can test in the "4th" gen slot?
Maybe form a friend/sibling?

Also updating your bios could help
