Hi I'm having problems with this card when I try to play anthem. My gpu usage according to msi afterburner can range anywhere from 99% to 30%. The gpu usage fluctuates quite often and is making the game unplayable for me. I tried 1080p medium 1080p low and 720p low. The problem persists through each setting. I'm starting to think something is wrong with the card because of the seemingly random fluctuations. Any ideas ?

Gpu gtx 1060 3gb
Cpu i5 8600
Ram 8gb 2665 hz

What driver are you using? also WHAT IS THE CPU USAGE AND WHAT KIND OF FPS ARE YOU GETTING?

I'm using the most recent drivers for nvidia and windows. My cpu usage is relatively low usually 60%. As for fps here's where it gets weird. Through all settings I get just over 60 fps at the best of times ( when gpu usage is at 99% ) but when the gpu usage drops so does my fps it can get as low as 20 fps. These gpu drops seem to come at random I cant literally just be standing there and it will drop so its not like the flashy graphics and effects are taxing the gpu at those points.

Good luck!

Well I just got done testing this and the first ten minutes or so game play gave me hope, I had 60fps constant (which is what im aiming for) and my gpu usage stayed at a solid 90%. Then about 15 minutes into my game the same old thing happened, seemingly random gpu drops and that would drop my fps to I have no idea what would cause that or how to fix it.

I am beginning to think my gpu just isn't strong enough anymore.

I would invest in another 8gb of ram. Most games need more than 8gb to run properly, or fast enough, for modern games. Either sell the one stick you have and buy a matched pair, which I would advise, or buy the exact same model and timings of another stick of 8gb ram.

Yes I was thinking of buying another stick of ram. Also an rtx 2070 I'm thinking of going 1440p in the future, plus I think ray tracing looks really cool. Any thoughts?
