Hello,
I have recently bought a GTX1070 (8GB) and there is no sign of my monitor even acknoldging the video card.
I have a:
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P motherboard,
AMD FX-8320 (8 core, 3.5GHZ)processor,
12GB RAM,
CX650M power supply
Can anyone see any reason as to why this is happening would really help a lot as the seller of the item being awkward and won't refund so if there is a way I can fix this it would be a lot simpler for me.
Thanks in advance

Well off the top of my head, I'd say make sure your display cable is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard, make sure the monitor is set to whatever input you are using, make sure you have the power for the GPU plugged in, make sure the 1070 is seated properly. If you don't have luck with any of this, maybe try a different PCIE slot, a different PSU if you can, and remove any old drivers if you can do that as well.

Worst case scenario, it may be worth looking into whether or not you can RMA the card directly with the seller. Some vendors are pretty forgiving when it comes to RMAing pc components.
