1080 and 1080ti?

So I was wondering if I would be able to SLI my 1080 with a 1080ti? I know that I want to do SLI but im just not sure if I would have to buy 2 1080tis or if I could use my current 1080 and pair it with a 1080ti

You can't do that, has to be same model so 2x1080 or 2x1080Ti

Best would be just a single 1080Ti as SLI isn't really supported by many games and runs even worse as a single one on some.

iirc, the sli is only doablebetween two identical gpus

since one is a 1080 and the other is 1080ti it is possible it will not work, theoretically they share the same gpu and are very near but is not guaranteed to work

also remember that this days some games will not allow you to use sli, some games will work a bit weird, only some will work very well on sli cards, most times one gpu is not used, only one of the two works
