1080 GTX low FPS problem

Simple problem. When I start any game my fps drops to 13 fps ( my native res is 5760 x 1200 ) when I drop it to 1920x1200 it goes back to normal 200 fps.

I then return the resolution back to 5760x1200 my 1080 comes back to life 100 fps again.

What gives is this a setting somewhere because this happens for all my games.

Very frustrated with my new 1080 gtx please help.

three monitors 1920x1200 = 5760x1200

its will stay at 13 fps or about that sometimes drops to 10 fps or so.

It stays that way until i decrease the res and increase back to 5760x1200

yes it goes from 13 to 200 fps as soon as i go back in 13 fps

Then its having trouble starting the game in the desktop's native resolution. Go into whatever games you play and search for the INI files or system config files and change the resolution to whatever resolution you want it at. Save the file then try starting the game. I have had to do custom config (cfg) files to make a game display in the resolution i want before properly.
