1080p 144hz vs 1440p 60hz

Hello everyone,
its finally time to upgrade my monitor and 'm having such a hard time, hope you guys can help me on this one.
Here's my PC specs:
i5 8400
MSI H310m gaming plus
16GB DDR4 2666mhz
EVGA GTX 1070 FTW

So here's my question(s); statements (do correct me if I'm wrong). Keep in mind I'm on a budget around $350.
My needs/expectattions: playing E-sport games like Dota2, CS:GO, PUBG & regular AAA titles such as BF1, Forza Horizon etc. I would also like to play newer games such as upcomming Hitman2, BF V, etc. I would not be upgrading this rig in the next 3 years for sure. (maybe just graphic card to 2060 BIG IF )
1) Obviously I would benefit for having G-Sync monitor but I think thats just not possible due to budget.
2) What will final result be if I decide for Freesync monitor but having Nvidia card? (1080p 144hz)
3)What will final result be if I decide for monitor that doesnt have G-sync or Freesync?

If possible please list some options that are viable in your opinion.

1) Yeah, it happens.
2) Same as 3), it would act as a normal monitor.
3) I personally would rather have the 1440p monitor, instead of 1080p 144Hz.

Would you be kind and post some examples of monitors that you would pick according to all above?
And one more question: will my processor bottleneck 1080p 144hz gaming?

Processor should be okay, Im personally not the best at recommending monitors, but here seems to be decent:
