Hey guys! I'm getting a new pc soon that will have gtx 1070 i7 6700k and 16 gb ram. I want to know which monitor i should pick up for this build. I'm not going to get new pc until this one is not able to get 30 fps+ at low setting in new games or when it's nearly to die. I'm more in 144hz cuz graphic look is not that important for me, i like the game to be smooth. I'm going to get monitor without a g-sync and if im not upgrading a pc for long time and it will only have let's say 40fps on low settings is screen tearing and stuttering going to be be very noticable on 144hz? If so i think i will pick up 1440p with 60hz or 1080p 60hz but if the screen tearing and stuttering is not so big i think ill pick up 1080p 144hz. What do you think guys? What will be the best in that case? What will be the best deal for me?

Solution
If you were to buy a new Screen I'd go with 1440p
As 1080p has no real Future anymore.

You could aim for a 1440p 24'' Screen though where you Can lower the resolution to 1080p without sacrificing too much
