1080p on 27" Monitor?

Hi,

I'm planing to buy a second monitor for my setup. I'm thinking of a 27" Monitor TN Display with 144hz, 1ms response time and G-Sync. I'd love to get a 2k display but it is quite expensive. I doubt I'll be able to go for it.

I am wondering if 1080p is a good idea on a 27" monitor?

I sit at about 80-90cm away form my monitor. I currently have a 1080p 24" IPS display. When I'm gaming or watching a movie it's fine. But when I'm working on MS Office, editing videos and using photoshop, I feel like the text and certain objects on the screen aren't very smooth so I'm afraid if I push it to a 27" I might get disappointed.

What are your thoughts?

For gaming, 27" at 1080p is fine, but for general computer use, you will be disappointed. Especially if you dont like the way it looks at 24". It is going to be a lot worse.

Yeah I guess I already new that deep down inside. Thanks for confirming my doubts.

I found a HP Omen 27" 2K 1ms 144hz G-Sync for 385$ on amazon (like new). Think I might go for it.
