Question 1080p or 1440p monitor

so by upgrading my GPU to RTX 2070 SUPER i would like to get a new monitor
maybe 27inch 1080p 144hz or 1440p 27 inch 144hz!i never had a 1440p monitor and i fear that with 1080p this gpu wont be used at 100%
however i cant know how future proof will 1440p gaming will be on this card and not playing at its native resolution..mehh no!

at 27inch i would not consider a 1080 panel. Also 2070 super seems like a future proof choice!
