1080p TV but PC is only displaying 1440x900?

My PS3 and PS4 both display at 1080p on my TV but my PC only displays at 1440x900, anyone know why and is there a fix? Its a 19" Bush LCD TV and I'm using HDMI output.

Are you sure that the TV is full HD and not HD ready as most Bush 19" TVs are.
