1080p vs 1440p

I recently bough an AMD R9 290. I'm currently on 1080p but considering 1440p, but is it worth it? Is the resolution difference enough to see any changes? I really want to take advantage of my GPU.

I run my R9 290 with 4k, and it really is a wonderful experience, small text but gaming OMG!
You should definitely try 1440p, it'd be a wonderful experience
For the technical part, this GPU is very powerful and I am able to run BF4 Ultra on 40+ FPS on my 4k, high on 50+ FPS.
You should get 50+ FPS on ultra if you have a powerful enough CPU.

Higher resolutions allow the monitor to be bigger. 2K res. usually goes up to 27"
