Hello, first thread on here.
Got quite a few questions I'd like to ask.
1- which of the affordable 1080tis should I go for, Zotac amp edition, MSI or Aorus xtreme?

2- I want to buy a graphics card that will last me at the very least 2.5 years but realistically 3-4, so would it be a better idea to go for a 1080ti or is there a huge difference between the 2080ti and 1080ti that justifies buying it?

Thanks in advance, recently started getting into PC so go easy.

GPU: GTX 970 4GB
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 3.9GHz OC
Motherboard: AX370 Gaming 3 Gigabyte
RAM: 2x4GB 3000MHz (I plan on upgrading to 32GB soon after I get the GPU)

as bmockeg and I asked, what resolution monitor and hz?

The 1080ti will be good for 4k gaming at moderate settings. Excellent at 1440p up to 144hz in some games, and stomp all over 1080p 144hz (with the right CPU). The 2600 at 3.9 will possibly not push the GPU enough for 144hz in some games.

The difference in manufacturer is negligible. For the most part any of those you mentioned will have high end versions of the card, that will differ in price by maybe 20-50 bucks. If you like RGB then go for something like that. But really, anything with 3 fans and is an OC/SSC version will be a decent performer whichever manufacturer you choose.

hey sorry guys the samsung monitor is 23inches and 120Hz, im mostly looking towards a GPU that will be fine for future years coming without needing me to upgrade anytime soon, CPU if needed ill upgrade but i dont think id need to anytime soon, but if the rig im going for requires a better CPU then i will upgrade it.
Not really after 4K Performance.

So realistically a 2080Ti is not worth it atm? if so recommend me a 1080Ti

Not at 1080p resolution no. Are you sure you have a 20Hz monitor? Or is that a TV that says 120Hz?

id recommend a 1080ti aorus since you have a gigabyte mbo for the rgb sync.
not really needed but its chill to have.
as for the 2080ti, imho, the 30% increased performance for that price difference is just not worth it.
