1080ti SLI issue with PCIE lanes

Hello,

I have a 1080 TI that is liquid cooled in PCIE slot #1. I recently picked up a second 1080TI and placed it in PCIE slot #3 (haven’t got around to liquid cooling this one yet). Now my computer is recognizing the GPU in slot 3 as the main GPU. All monitors are connected to GPU in slot #1. I have tried reinstalling drivers with no luck. MSI afterburner also shows them backwards.

Specs: i7 6850k, MSI x99A SLI Plus MOBO, 32gb ddr4 3200 ram

Any suggestions?

Slot #1 by default should be the primary display. Only suggestion I can make is to check the motherboard BIOS settings, maybe you can change the primary display from slot 3 to 1 in there?

Unfortunately there isn’t an option in the bios to set a primary. The only thing I can change is the latency timer and gen.
