1200p vs 1440p, Worth the price difference?

Hey guys, I was looking at good 1080p monitors vs 1440p monitors, and noticed the difference was only ~120.
Dell 1200p
Nixeus 1440p
Either way, I am upgrading my 2 gig 7850 and FX 6300 for an R9 290 and FX 8370 sometime in the next few months. My question is, is it a smart buy to get that Nixeus for ~120 more? Thanks for the help.

well.. 1 r9 290 will drive 1080p gaming with good settings for years to come and the same result for 2 at 1440p.

what i would suggest is waiting for freesync monitors to come out soon.

you want a noticeable difference get a 1440 you wont be dissapointed wish i hadn't opted for a 144hz 1920x1080 monitor after looking at my friends 1440p hope this helps
