120hz monitor?

Will a 120hz monitor hurt gaming performance?
I found a really good deal on this monitor

I'm sorry this thread is about a month old, but I must say that Vsync, in fact, does increase input lag.

What I'm trying to understand is whether a 120hz monitor would be worth buying if I could only run a game at 55-65 fps? For example, running Crysis 2 at settings where I only get around 60 fps.

Btw, anything equal to or below 55 fps, I can notice choppiness, but it's possible that I see this because when frames drop in a game, it manifests on the screen as slight stuttering because of the sudden drop in frame rate.

Also, anything 60 fps and below I notice input delay. Input delay in games is minimal at 90+ fps.

This is from my experience in a few different games, which include Fallout 3 (massive input delay with Vsync enabled in this game btw), Quake 3, Crysis, Crysis 2, BF3.

Monitor ABC: Lowest time recorded = 2ms, highest time recorded 300ms
Monitor XYZ: Lowest time recorded = 5ms, highest time recorded 250ms

Monitor ABC seems to be faster because of the 2ms response time measured. But it also peaked at 300ms which is a lot worse than Monitor XYZ. Since those high numbers are tossed out with the trash consumers don't know any better.[/quotemsg]

internet speed and pin is more important than monitor Hz.

why whores wear wigs and change dresses? because some guys have different taste, same whose inside different looks.
Why some guys don't like whores? because they go for quality of the product not just the sales pitch, that's all.

yes 120 Hz is good for 3D movies.

No! I won't play in 3D. why I don't want to end up like a bunch of 3D player in the future, cross-eyed, migraines, can't focus on thing, etc.
3D FK with your brain and you're eyes. not for me no thanks
