Question 12VHPWR connector confusion

1) I'm totally confused about the new PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR connector...I wanted to get one of the new ATX 3.0 PSU's...I limited my choices to the Super Flower Leadex VII XG 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold and Corsair RM850x Shift...but when looking at reviews for the Shift I came across one which said the following: "Cons: 12VHPWR connector limited to only deliver 300 watts...a close-up shot of the 300w PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR connector; notice the two eight-pin connections that terminate to the 12VHPWR connection...each PCe eight pin can only supply 150w, thus making the 300w specification...effectively, a 375w GPU can be powered using this solution with the PCIe slots power of 75w" (see attached pic 1)

I did some further reading and read that "there should be up to four different power settings, with the PCIe 5.0 power cable supporting 150W, 300W, 450W, and a huge 600W over a single 16-pin PCIe 5.0 power cable" (see attached pic 2)

the upcoming 4080 Super uses: 3x PCIe 8-pin cables (adapter in box) OR 1x 450 W or greater PCIe Gen 5 cable

but how do I know which 12VHPWR watt cable comes with the PSU?...it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere...I found out the Corsair Shift comes with the 150W because I read a review which discussed it but what about the Super Flower one?...since there's only one 12VHPWR cable supplied with the PSU shouldn't PSU's at 850w comes with at least the 450W or 600W cable?

1A) some ATX 3.0 PSU's come with a dedicated 12+4 pin connector on the PSU itself (attached pic 3)...and some come with the standard 2x 8pin connector on the PSU (attached pic 4)...what is the difference and which is better?

1B) to make it even more confusing a new ATX 3.1 spec has been finalized where the 16-pin 12VHPWR power connector is being replaced with a new 12V-2x6 power connector as part of the new ATX 3.1 standard...so does it even make sense to buy an ATX 3.0 PSU now?

From left to right, the 12VHPWR cable with 1 grounding wire is 150W, and the second grounding wire added gives you 300W, the third with the 3rd grounding wire gives you 450W and the last with all 4 grounding wires on the small 4 pins connected, means you have access to 600W from the PSU to the GPU.

so with the Nvidia adapter each plug is 150W?...the pic made it seem like there were different types of plugs and one plug could be either 150W, 450W, 600W etc

so if each plug is 150W then how come the 12VHPWR cable that you can buy from Corsair only has 2 plugs and it totals 600W?...how come each plug is not 150W, for a total of 300W?
