Well the subject header says it all...
I have a question, this being the first time I attempted to upgrade my motherboar/CPU:
Assuming I don't overclock (which I don't know how to do anyway at this point) is it a bad idea to buy a CPU with a 133mHz bus for a board that supports 66/100? I can buy a 100mHz CPU but for some reason it is more expensive than the 133. Thank you very much

I have a 440bx board so I know I wont work I had to get a new mobo when i got a p3 600 100mhz coppermine. And I'm pretty sure that all p3's at 133 have a coppermine core and unless you have a new seatle board it wont support the coppermine UNLESS you have a motherboard made buy someone other than Intel.Sorry if I confuse you. But I think it is a bad idea unless you can get a new motherbaord. Also if it did run at 100 since the multiplier is locked on all intel cpu's it would cause the processor to run slower than what it is rated at.
