The 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors that use Socket 1155 would have to be using a motherboard that supports that processor which would be one of our "6" series boards i.e. H67, Q67, P67, or Z68. If you are looking for a performance designed board I would advise that you look at the P67 or even better the Z68 boards for the additional features that it offers over the P67.
impossible to use LGA 1366 with LGA 1155 how is this possible because 1366 version different from 1155 but go with 1155 too fastest sockets like asus p8z68 vpro.
First of all no they are not compatible. They are two different CPU sockets that can't be combined. Between the 1366 or the 1155 there is no question the 1155 is the best right now. The P67 is a really good board but it seems to have it's problems. The Z68 is newer and seems to have very few problems. There seems to be a lot more RMA's with the P67 compared to the Z68.
The 1155 will be superior in most consumer oriented tasks.....1366 remains "king" in workstation apps. I'd think on an 1155 CPU ...as for what chipset....use this to decide.
Just cut 211 of them off with scissors and it will fit.
Kind of off topic but; I literally had someone come in who had cut off a part of the pcie slots off the graphics card with scissors to fit it in his mobo because his friend told him that was what he was supposed to do. This is the intelligence of the general public because computers are magic. Just how are you supposed to fit a person in a flat screen?
