ok it's 2018, Still i'm using my old 768p 18.5inch monitor .
so i was thinking about a upgrade.
im currently using gtx 950 AMP edition
i can still play many game at ultra-high setting with 50-60fps on 768p except some games like Wildlands ac unity etc.
if i upgrade to 1080p then i'll get bigger screen + good color quality , but ill loss more then 15-20fps
#so my point is should i upgrade to 1080p? or stick with 768p?

I would get a 1080 monitor. If your FPS goes too low in some games, you can always lower the resolution in that game.

My wife runs Windows in lower resolution on a 1080 monitor, just to get bigger text in menus and bigger icons. In games she runs max resolution.

if i buy 21.5inch monitor then i'll get only 3inch extra
so is there any big difference ? expect sharpness

I have a 24" since 2009, so I can only try to imagine. The measurement (in inches) is the diagonal, so the difference in width and height will only be a few cm. However, a bigger screen always feel much bigger and better.

21.5" vs 24" screen (same aspect ratio)
The 24" is 11.63% larger diagonally & has a 24.61% larger area its basically a 25% increase in screen real estate
