Approximate Purchase Date: This week, or (most likely) the beginning of next week

Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) Before Rebates; After Shipping - $1400 dollars. I can POSSIBLY stretch to around 1600-1800, depending on the boost from that extra 200-400 dollars in the performance category.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: First - most important, last - least important
1) Gaming - Max out graphics on any game I play. Or come very close to it
2) Movies, entertainment web browse. I will need a monitor/peripherals for this
Are you buying a monitor: Yes
Keyboard: Yes
Mouse: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: None
Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any will work. Live in Houston, Texas (US).
Can buy from MicroCenter, or any online shops.
Location: City, State/Region, Country - Houston, Texas (US).

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU hopefully. But that is just from hearing others online rave about it, but quite honestly, if I don't need one, to heck with it. I can settle for spending less if the perfomance/stability of something cheaper is not too bad.

I want quality parts, too. I read a ton online for everything, but I just can't find everything, and there's no helpful advice better than on Tom's Hardware.

I would like Corsair Vengeance ddr3 1600/1866 ram. I don't really know, whichever performs best and is within my budget.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: I'd really like something with an 'UMPH". Like 1920x1200, or even bigger/better. IPS is nice I think. Or if I'm shooting to high with my budget, I guess not.

Additional Comments: I really would like a quiet, high-perfomance gaming rig. I love to play steam games, and that's what I will mainly do with it. High-intensive GPU games are what I'd like to play, but am restricted with current Macbook Pro to do so.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Can't run high-intensive GPU games on Steam, and I'd like to.

If you feel like you don't want that much SSD capacity, get the 128 GB version. Also, I got you the monitor and peripherals, but it's all up to you to decide. I just got things that I have.

Ok from Microcenter
i5 3570k + One of these boards - ASrock extreme4, Gigabyte z77x-ud3h/ud3/ud4h/ud5h/Up4, or ASUS z77 V LK. if going ud3h/extreme4/LK/ud3 the price will be around $290

The case is fairly big but it is at a pretty good price right now, if anything get a Fractal Design define R4.
