I play all types of games like BF1, rise of the tomb raider, GTA 5, Quake Champions, League of Legends, nba 2k17, rocket league (sometimes), and maybe more games in a future, I have an rx 480 4g armor oc, and I like both graphic/image quality and smooth/hz, most of the people say that when you use 144op you will never go back, but others say the something with the smooth that when you use a 1080p 144hz monitor you will never go back to 60hz.

IDK which one to choose because I play E-sport games and AAA games a lot, so it is a difficult dilemma.

Both monitor cost $200 dollars here in the USA:

1440p monitor:

1080p 144hz freesync tn monitor:

(both 24 inch the screen size that I like the most).

Honestly, I would go with the 1080 here. One because it has free sync, which will give you the best FPS with your RX 480. And if you are playing a lot fo e-sport titles, it will be a lot smoother. Sure, a higher resolution looks good, but playing titles like LoL, CS:GO, etc...you probably will not notice it.

That's just my three cents.

I would probably go for the 1080p 144hz monitor as well, or save up for a 1440p high refresh rate panel. That 1440p monitor you linked is not something I would necessarily recommend for gaming, It uses an older IPS panel that does not have very good response times or input lag.

At that screen size I'd also go for a 1080 display, at <>24" the viewing area is really too small for 1440 and while you can resize Windows text and icons, games don't often allow different text sizes which can make reading massages difficult, or even virtually impossible.
And yes, 144Hz is nice.
And yes, if you upgrade to an Nvidia card you can still use the monitor, the card will just treat it as a simple high refresh display, just activate the 'Adaptive Sync feature in the Nvidia settings to continue enjoying 144Hz gaming.
