Hello,
I have recently bought this monitor for my ps5 looking to use its 144hz to get 120fps but I have found out that the hdmi port in monitor is capped at 60 so I'm trapped at 60fps. I was wondering if there is anyway around that so I can get 120fps without having to buy a new monitor. Thanks! (Monitor is 144hz Gaming Monitor AOC G2460PF)

The manual shows optimal resolution for HDMI being 1080p/120hz which indicates the screen can do 120hz just fine over HDMI.

The alternatives would be to get a DVI-D to HDMI cable/adapter or DP to HDMI cable/adapter (this option would be more expensive due to needing an active cable/adapter) as both of those connectors appear to be better connections for the screen's scaler.

Interesting, I'll give the DVI a shot as I tried to with a hdmi cable but capped me at 60fps when trying. I did read online though people have same issue due to hdmi being capped at 60hz but thanks I'll give DVI a go!

G2460PF only supports 120 Hz on HDMI by using a custom resolution on a PC. The HDMI input on that monitor does not have a profile for anything above 60 Hz, so consoles will not detect it as being capable of 120 Hz.

DVI port requires a dual-link connection, it will not work from an HDMI output.

That is the type of cable which should work for what you're trying to do. I'd suggest making sure whatever you go with either supports consoles or preferably user reviews talking about having done so successfully. I read through some reviews on random cables and some had incompatibilities so if nothing else make sure there's an easy return process.
