[SOLVED] 144hz monitor causes PC crash

Hi guys,

I recently bought me a DELL S2719DGF monitor for 2k at 144hz but for some odd reason when I set my windows from 60hz to 144hz the screen would go black and then my entire pc would just reboot/crash. It works 100% at 60hz.

I have tried:
Updated drivers
I did a load test on the card at 60hz works perfect.
I switched to another card and also it crashes switching to 144hz.
Tried 1080p at 144hz and also crashed.
Leaving it at 60hz opening a game then switching the game to 144hz also crashed.
I went in the radeon settings and everything is left normal with the same result.
CPU and GPU temps are 100% as im not even able to open a game to test it.
Switched Freesync off and on .
No clear event log entry to show why it crashed.

My specs are:
x470 Asus prime MB
Ryzen 7 2700x CPU
Corsair H100x Cooler
Gskill TridenZ 16GB 3200mhz RAM (Running at 3000mhz)
Gigabyte Vega 56 GC
500GB NVMe m.2
500GB SSD (Windows on)
Corsair RM1000x PSU

I really am not sure what else to try?

Hi guys,

So I never got a reply here but I thought I would update quick:

I finally decided to reinstall my windows(I REAAAAAAALY didnt want to do it)
I downloaded the latest windows 10 files from the Microsoft site, I updates all my drivers and BOOM fixed.
