So, i decided to upgrade my old Samsung 2243SN to new 1080p 144hz monitor. I really love this one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LC24FG73FQUXEN-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B071RP6WVL but it doesn't have G-sync. I have MSI GTX 1080 GAMING X and maybe should go for a G-sync monitor? But there isn't much choice and all of this monitors are too expensive for only 1080p. The only one that suits me is - https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-PG248Q-Gaming-Monitor-USB3-0/dp/B01I3KMEAC/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1503728027&sr=1-1&keywords=pg248q and in my country the difference in price between them is almost 260$ (and they all cost about the same). I just want fast full hd (don't like 1440p) monitor for gaming, without tearing or stuttering or whatever. So, do i need G-sync or it doesn't really matter?

Solution
If G-Sync is the only thing you want to upgrade, then I would not get it. Do you experience any tearing or stuttering? If not, then its fine and you don't need G-Sync. If I would upgrade a monitor, I would upgrade more than one way, resolution (1440p ), hz (240), maybe size (27"), maybe panel type (IPS) just in example.
