144hz monitor problems

just got a new 144hz monitor and installed it, but now all my games are capped at 60fps. this shouldnt be the case since i have a gtx 980...nvida control center settings have vsync turned off. and all games have vsync turned off. still the fps is capped.

Do you have Vsync off in game too? Is your monitor actually running at 144Hz? What graphics card and connection are you using?

make sure you set your screen to run at 144hz default will be 60, you will need to go into your display settings and manually set 144hz
