[SOLVED] 144hz or 240hz?

Hi Guys! I need your opinion if my brother should get a 240hz monitor or just get 144hz for gaming? He usually play these games
Also he plans to play on 4k

The specs on pc is

Ryzen 3600
Corsair 32gb 3200mhz
Gigabyte Aorus 5700xt 8gb
NZXT M22 AIO COOLER
BE QUIET DARK POWER PRO 11 850w

these games which he plays all the time
The Witcher
PUBG
CS GO
COD warzone
DOTA2
Valorant
GTA V

I believe PUBG and CS GO are the only 2 games that will push 200+ FPS. It’s also hard to say if he will notice any difference, the majority of people can’t tell the difference between 144 & 240 Hz but then a few do. 240Hz monitors also come with compromises on colour accuracy and viewing angles. I guess it depends how important e-sports games are to him, if he is the type of person who will notice and if the compromises are worth it.

Yeah that’s what i told him. Do you have any suggestions what monitor to buy? For that specs?

Sorry not sure, my recent monitor research was for 1440p 144Hz and this seems to be a decision for 1080p 144Hz or 240Hz. I’m not up to date on the latest models.

The human eye cannot make use of whatever benefit people think 240Hz will give, nor can the human body respond to that.

Higher resolution also means higher demand on the video card. I would not recommend going with 4K.

At 4k resolution running at 240h is not reasonable for gaming. There is pretty much 0 difference between 144 and 240 in real world use and how smooth it will feel.

I have a 60hz montior a 144hz one and a 240hz one and 60 to 144 is a MUST for gaming with your specs but 240 is not necessary sure u might reach it but theres a small difference and a higher 1440p/4k 120/144 monitor will suit you best or just get a 1080p 144hz and up the settings
