I just acquired a 2070 card, and sadly discovered that I can't get 144hz with my benq xl2411.
With this monitor I can only get to 144hz with a DVI-D cable, the problem is that the graphic card doesn't have a DVI port (only DP and HDMI) and the monitor doesn't have a DP port. So I can only connect each other with HDMI. Is it posible to get to 144hz using an adapter? Or am I just screwed and on need of a new monitor?

Thanks for your answers.

Active adapters are your only way.

Unfortunately, the required adapters are going to run you >$50 USD.

Thanks for you answer, do you think that it would be better to just sell my monitor and buy a new one? It's like in the first day.

Looks like they sell used, for ~$150.

Tough call, but looks like you could pick up something fairly comparable (with DisplayPort) for around ~$170.

Cheaper to sell/buy for a net spent of roughly $20 opposed to $50+ on an adapter that would work..... but entirely your call.
