I have made my build and all is fine but my display. Rx Vega 56 (msi) has 3 display ports and one HDMI. I have bought a new display port cable but the resolution is low like 640res and cannot select above 60hz. On the HDMI cable it's 1080p 60hz. I have latest drivers. I am 99% sure it's the monitor because same problem with display port with a build. So I had to use DVI but there is no DVI port on my GPU so I am stuck on 60hz. Any help? My monitor is AOC 2460FQ

You're welcome, good luck
It did not work :/, It is 1080p but can't see the 144hz option. I really don't want to get a different GPU. This monitor is just terrible. I also found my old Display Port cable that came with the monitor and it has the same problem as the new one: 640x480 and 60hz. The monitor warranty is finished so I guess my only option is to buy the expensive Adapter that apparently works.

I linked this earlier. Select Hdmi to DVI.

There are no Hdmi to Dvi dual link cables. Those that claim to be are fake.

Id get your monitor checked out. Hopefully it's the cable. If not then a new monitor or different gpu.

Hard to say. Do you keep trying adapters? From Startech or Accell maybe?

Have you checked recently if your monitor's DVI input still works correctly? Both you and i know it's not normal how it's behaving with Displayport.

Should take the screen to a pc store and see what they find.

Yep I am done with adapters, I am talking to AOC for help but they are dreadful and never reply "after 48hrs" still waiting for 7 days without a response. Think I will take it to a store to get checked then sell it for cheap and get this over with because I'm 99% sure at this point that it's just a faulty monitor

Can you try using the HDMI connection again, and setting a custom resolution for 1080p 120 Hz using the instructions in section 6.3 in the guide?
OMG, ARE YOU A GENIUS? I ran the pather and set the timing and 120hz as you stated in Radeon settings. This is with HDMI to HDMI and 120hz works. This is crazy, if this is the best my monitor can do I am fine with it but I still have those adapters at hand if you have more advice. Thank you so much
