Hey, my brother recently bought an asus FX705GE laptop. On the website it says 144hz screen but the only options are 48 and 60hz. Nvidia control panel is installed and set to high performance. Does someone know what to do?

Pc specs:
Geforce gtx 1050TI 4gb
Intel core i7-8750H (8th generation)
16gb Ram
512gb SSD

did you buy the one with 144hz and not the 60hz?

In nvidia control panel, go to change resolution and make sure it is set to 144hz @1080p. it might be set to some other setting for some reason. Try and find a 1080p @144hz option, or click on the Refresh rate drop down and see if you can select 144hz. other than that you might of bought the 60hz version like RGD1101 said. Hope that helps ^

Try to hit right click on desktop then go Display settings/Advanced display settings/Display adapter properties for display/Monitor and change it from there.
If that doesn't works and u can't find the resolution settings in control panel u might have to do a clean install on the gpu drivers.
