Unless you have a reason, I'd save a few $ and go for a cheaper B or H board over that Z, not because there's anything wrong with the choice, but because you'll get the same options but without paying extra for OC ability that you can't use with the locked 8400.

Id also not use the P12 as a case fan. It's an older design that's surpassed by the A series. The P12 works far better as a cpu cooler replacement than a case fan. The Silent Wings would be better choice for similar performance, lower rpm, quieter.

Test is good, although I personally prefer the p400/s over the p300, it also comes with RGB strip.
