Hey guys, I'm looking to build a new Gaming Pc. I have around $1450 to spend.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: By January 8th

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, web surfing

EVGA GPU's are quite expensive in Australia, you can get an Asus 670 DC2 clocked slightly lower for about $439.

Yeah but that Asus card takes up three slots on your motherboard. If you want to SLI that won't be a very good option.

Only the 680 DC2 is three slots out of Asus' GTX 6** series, the 670 DC2 still remains two slots. Even then, Asus just released a Dual slot 680 DC2.

Nvidia cards are expensive in Australia, a Sapphire 7970 goes for $430, no reason to get Nvidia when AMD are that comparitively cheap.

yeah, when ever i do crossfire i buy 1 say now and buy the second one when they release the next gen one and the model you have is being marked down forclearance and you usually get it a fair bit cheaper

looks ok but i wouldnt buy from multiple sources if you didnt need too, particular over the net if you get issues with anything its easy just to take it back to a store down the road, im sure there would be an msy near you. and if there is something tricky playing up (hardware) and you cant troubleshoot it, its easier to be able to take the case back to one place and just say 'fix it', otherwise if there is multiple vendors they will all blame each other and not wanna help in general from the one time this has happened to me (i have built alot of systems and it has happened once). as far as im aware msy will price match too usually. they had samsung 830's on clearance for 92 (they are good i have one), the mother board you chose is 4 bucks cheaper,cpu 2 bucks cheaper, gskill ripjaws 1600 4gbx2 for 44 bucks like i said everything there is usually cheaper and easier

they will only get whats on their site, there is plenty to choose from! specify what your local store is first, choose your parts, go to checkout and order, they will email you when they have all the parts instock you have ordered and will give you 3 days to pick them up before they cancel your order (you dont have to pay upfront) cant get much easier than that!!

if they dont have instock a day or 2 but its the worst time of the year to order parts because all the suppliers are shut until next week i think but they will usually transfer between stores in the same state if need be (in qld they do anyways)
