Question 1500$ gaming pc wont record gameplay

I bought a $1500 gaming pc by asus rog strix (gl703vd) and when I go into obs it freezes my whole game and lags when i try to record. The specs are a gtx 1050 with a i7-7700hq with 16gb of DDR4 Ram

A 7700hq and 1050 isnt a great combo for streaming.
What settings are you using? What game?
