1500 ish Gaming/3d workstation

I do a ton of modeling, animation and gaming. My current computer is just not cutting it. I found this link http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1764882/workstation-gaming-1500-budget.html#12564557
and it seems like what im looking for but i need the total package. This will be the first pc ive built so it's nervous city. Ive watched theNewegg TV: How To Build a Computer tutorials im ready lol. Any help would be appreciated.

I highly doubt your gonna need 32 gb ram. Here is the same build except with a better gpu, a optical drive and less ram.

Looks good. Is the power supply and cooler enough for the toxic card?

Yeah it is definetly enough power. I change my mind about the psu, get this one instead http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-ax760 Its made by seasonic but then covered up by corsair lol. Plus its more wattage for the cheaper so when you sli you can easily do it.

The cooler says "Thermal compound (pre-applied)" does that mean i dont have to muck with the past or should i anyway

What do you mean by "much the past" If you mean to get rid of it and apply a new layer of thermal paste, no you dont have to. Hope you enjoy your build

So it seems that card is hard to get a hold of, im going to hold out a little longer but if i cant find one is there a similar one you'd recommend?

Get the gtx 770 from evga

Also I change my mind about the hdd. Dont get seagate, get western digital. Seagate has the most failure hdd's in a recent survey

look good to you? Im all set to order if it will all work together

but after some reasearch it turns out Cinema 4D runs better with amd so .. lol i dont know what the hell im gunna do lol thanks ill post a picture of whatever i decide on.

Get that hard drive but dont get the 4gb version of 770. You dont really need the 4gb unless you are playing games like crysis 4. I would go with the 2gb but its up to you ultimatly. Also get this psu instead http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-ax760 or http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1750bbefx I would go with the corsair psu because its made by SeaSonic and then they put their name on it.

so i got the parts and installed everthing .. when i pusht the power button on the motherboard the fans on the case and the h100i spin once and thats all i get .. what did i do wrong

I think i got it. I didnt hook up the supplemental power supply it starts now i see the led light up on the motherboard lmoa whew ... scary man

Nice but the cable managment is bad, like i said on the pcpartpicker post.
