16 GB ram kit

I'm not saying Gamer is wrong, I actually agree with him, but why select the first answer you get as best? How do you know he's right? I'm not saying you should remove the BA, but it's odd that you just BA the first answer that comes along.

A lot more info is needed. Are you upgrading a build or building a new PC? If you are building new, why are you picking generation old parts? Everything current has moved onto DDR4 ram. Why build something old right off the bat? If you are upgrading, what parts you have now matter. For all we know you should be buying something else entirely.

Once a best answer is selected, I rarely add comments unless the answer is clearly wrong.

In this case, you obviously have some sort of question that you are not asking.

What parts do you have now?
What are you trying to build?
What is the purpose of the build?
What is your budget.

While I wouldn't recommend building around some DDR3 memory, the fastest Intel CPUs for that would be an i5-4690K or i7-4790K and something like an ASUS Z97-A. Take a look HERE for a list of compatible CPUs with that chipset, which was the last main one that used DDR3 IIRC.
