Virtually all monitors will have a vesa mount capability. How do I know if my monitor has this vesa stuff it attached with?
The specs say you have a 100 x 100 VESA mount:
No, a mount will usually come with adapters for various sizes. And it looks like mounts usually do both 75x75 AND 100x100? Or do I need to search for one that is specifically 100x100?
Ergotron is probably out of my budget. I have purchased a lot from monoprice and will probably try them again. No, a mount will usually come with adapters for various sizes.
If you are looking for a mount that can adjust height, you will also need to know the weight of your monitor(without the stand). That is so the spring tension is in an acceptable range.
Go to the ergotron site to get an idea of what the considerations are.
They are open to questions also.
They have mount details, requirements and other info.
If you are not budget constrained, ergotron is what you want.
Are you looking for a wall mount or a desk mount?
For a single monitor or more?
How adjustable does it need to be?
What do you mean by your bar?
Eventually had the same idea. Thank you. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to get the monitor to stay in one place. Also, are most monitors flat on the back? Mine is not and I had to force the bracket on and scrape up the back of my monitor.Cut a scrap piece of wood to match the lip and you could screw it in to bottom of desk than clamp like you started.
