Thinking of trying a monitor mount on my bar for the first time. Are there trusted brands I should look for? It's 27". I have a weird place to game and need it to be set up for my bike and zwift too.

Thanks!

the Fully Jarvis Single Monitor Arm moves in a wide range of positions and angles and look good, it hold monitors up to 32 inches

And it looks like mounts usually do both 75x75 AND 100x100? Or do I need to search for one that is specifically 100x100?
No, a mount will usually come with adapters for various sizes.
If you are looking for a mount that can adjust height, you will also need to know the weight of your monitor(without the stand). That is so the spring tension is in an acceptable range.

Go to the ergotron site to get an idea of what the considerations are.
They are open to questions also.
They have mount details, requirements and other info.

If you are not budget constrained, ergotron is what you want.

Are you looking for a wall mount or a desk mount?
For a single monitor or more?
How adjustable does it need to be?
What do you mean by your bar?

Ergotron is probably out of my budget. I have purchased a lot from monoprice and will probably try them again.

Desk mount.

Single monitor.

Mostly needs to be able to move a little as I have an odd set up right now in my basement bar so that I can use my bike and trainer with it indoors during the winter.

We have a bar in the basement and I game on it, and ride my bike using zwift, so I sort of have two locations set up and need the monitor to swivel a little to use both purposes. I am actually looking for the mount clamped onto the bar so that I can find more room at the bar for my legs, and my first mat under both my mouse and keyboard. I am also getting my first wireless mouse for Christmas which gives mea little more flexibility too.

Setting up today! New mouse is charged. Playmat is ready to lay down. Monitor arm is ready to clamp onto the bar. There are little rubber pads installed. Is that generally enough to protect to desktop where it mounts?

Cut a scrap piece of wood to match the lip and you could screw it in to bottom of desk than clamp like you started.
Eventually had the same idea. Thank you. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to get the monitor to stay in one place. Also, are most monitors flat on the back? Mine is not and I had to force the bracket on and scrape up the back of my monitor.
