1600 mhz ram running at 667mhz

Hey guys, i hope you can help me with this. i just installed a ga 970 ds3p fx, fx 8300, and 2 x 4 1600mhz ddr3. i know the board isnt really an ideal board, but i have a asrock 970a-g/3.1 on the way. anyway, my ram isnt running at full speed. its running at about 667 mhz. i honestly can say that i do not know how to fix this, or if i should just wait for new board. btw i am on a fixed income and the asrock was all that i could afford. any help would be apreciated.

psu...evga 500w
cpu...fx 8300
gpu...gigabyte rx 460 4gb
mobo...gigabyte ga 970 ds3p fx (waiting on asrock 970a-g/3.1)
ram...2 x 4 1600 corsair vengence

Hi, They run at the default speed, 1333 (667x2).

so is this the right speed? i am kinda confused about this, kinda dumb when it comes to ram. new at building lol

It's the default speed. For 1600, you'd have to adjust the BIOS, but I suggest leaving it like that. Not much improvement, in my opinion.

i enabled xmp. should i redo that and just leave it alone then.

Do they run at 1600 now (800x2)?

i ran wmic memorychip get speed in cmd. and it is stiill at 667. am i looking at the right thing?
i think the voltage was at 1.46 on bios.

ok think im good. looked in cpuz and the frequency is at 803.
