Hi i own 3 x 4gb Kingston Hyper X Genesis DDR-3 1600mhz and want to sell them and buy Kingston HyperX Beast 32GB (4x8GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit (HX324C11T3K4/32). I believe I can sell them around 60gbp and buy the new kit around 180 gbp. My question is it worth the money and will I notice any difference on fps on games?
Thank you

Yes, X79 supports single, dual, Tri or Quad, moving to quad and higher data rates can and will show a difference - moreso in some games than others. If you run things in the background the additional DRAM and higher data rate may show an even better gain - I'd guess upwards of 10% or more depending on the game
Differences from clocking speed? Almost to none.
Difference by moving from single to dual channel, from dual to quad or from single to quad? It should be noticeable.
Difference by moving to bigger RAM capacity? It should be noticeable up to certain amount, after that no more. From 12GB to 16GB, most-likely mo change.

BTW, I hope you know this:
1600MHz/CL8 => 1600/8 = 200 reports (I dunno what kind of RAM you have right now, I just took my current RAM as example)
2400MHz/CL11 => 2400/11 = 218.182 reports
Those 18 reports brings almost no difference.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I checked through cpu-z app and in the tab memory says triple channel. If I buy one more Kingston Hyper X Genesis DDR-3 1600mhz will make it quad channel? rather buying the new Kingston HyperX Beast 32GB (4x8GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit (HX324C11T3K4/32). Want to make sure that with that extract 800mhz speed on ram I will get better fps on games.
