1600mhz Ram on ASUS P5G41T-M LX

i have a 1600mhz ram.Is there any way i can use a 1600mhz ram on ASUS P5G41T-M LX .I know that the motherboard only support a maximum of 1333hz...i want to double check before i give the ram to someone else...so if there any way i can use the ram please help....

Old Core2 board needs old DDR3 most likely. That board might even be configured to use very early 1.8v or higher RAM that would damage a modern system. You likely have 1.5v DDR3 1600. It's not going to work.

Edit: Should add that back then the memory controller was on the motherboard and not the CPU like it is now. So the board is the deciding factor in memory compatibility.
yes But It Will Be Downclocked To 1333 But Its Possible My Friend Currently Using With This Situation On h61 Gigga Mobo
So No Worry And He Will No Sense About Downclocking
Also U Can Active Xmp Profile If Ur Ram And Mobo Supports It And Get Ur 1333 To 1600 Back
So Np Basicly Good Luck
