I want to upgrade my RTX 3080 to an RTX 5070 Ti for Battlefield 6 game in 1440p to get enough FPS for a 165Hz monitor.

Current PC Specs
Motherboard: TUF Gaming B550 Pro
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: RTX 3080
RAM: 16GB

Q1) Motherboard is compatible with a 5070 Ti, correct ?

Q2) CPU is good enough for a 5070 Ti ?

I wouldn't be certain that video card will let you get to 165Hz. Battlefield 6 seems to be fairly CPU limited. HUB did some limited CPU testing and in several instances a 9700X and 265K were unable to sustain 165 FPS with a 5090. You'd be more likely to get 165 FPS+ with the 3080 and a faster CPU than the 5070 Ti with your existing CPU. Upscaling can lower the load on the GPU, but you're going to be hard limited by whatever your CPU is capable of driving.

Your system is definitely compatible with the 5070 Ti and you'll see a decent uplift when GPU limited. The key for the upgrade would be knowing what your bottleneck is: CPU or GPU.

I would skip the RTX 5070 TI and instead upgrade to at least a Ryzen 7 9700x. Battlefield 6 definitely needs a fast CPU and fast ram.

In the beta, at 1440p and quality upscaling with highest settings and on the lowest settings using my 5800X3D, I was getting nearly the same FPS, with higher settings obviously being a little lower. I don't think I ever saw my fps go higher than 160 on one map, but I wasn't benchmarking, so I don't know for sure. I just remember seeing between 100-130fps most of the time.
