I bought a Kingston 1x8gb 1600 ram, but when I placed it on my motherboard, it says its maximum frequency is 1333mhz, when I tried to overclock it to 1600mhz, it crashes. I really need that ram since I'm using AMD onboard Graphics. Please Help, Thank You.

Hello, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support. HyperX memory is typically XMP enabled but we do not have official support for AMP although I have seen in some AMD systems that will automatically translate the XMP to AMP profiles or just label them as Memory Profiles in general.

If you are using the Ai Tweaker in BIOS to set the timings, first you will need to select the Memory Frequency as DDR3-1600MHZ, then go to the DRAM Timing Control and change the first three settings to what it is advertised at, usually 9-9-9 other timings can be left as default. Then go to the DRAM Voltage and change that to 1.65 as long as that is wat the memory indicates. If you look up the memory's part number stating with KHX on our website you can find...

Thanks for answer, I'am using an Asus f2 a55-M LK2 PLUS Motherboard, by the way what is an XMP profile in bios?

The AMD equivalent of XMP is AMD "AMP" (AMD Memory Profile) which your MB supports. http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/F2A55M_LK_PLUS/specifications/

First, go to the Kingston website for your DIMMs and be sure that they are AMP enabled. Then, if the Kingston DIMMs support AMP, look for a setting for AMP in your BIOS. Enable it and select the desired profile. There should be instructions on how to do this in your MB Owner's Manual.

If you look up the memory's part number stating with KHX on our website you can find all the proper timing information on it's datasheet, it can be on the label itself but that can be hard to see. Also make sure EPU power saving mode is disabled, I have seen that cause problems. I doubt this is the issue but it never hurts to check to make sure your APU/CPU supports the 1600MHz memory frquency.

For any further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have the part in question on hand when you call.

Thank you for selecting Kingston as your upgrade partner.
