Hello, i was using Amd Rx 480 until 10 days ago but it got broken. Then i decided to buy Nvidia 1660ti.
I'm Mount and Balde Warband player. With 1660ti i have this low FPS issue in the game. I was getting totally fine FPS with Rx 480.
But with 1660ti it's 30-40 especially when near buildings. It's unplayable. This game is 10 years old and 1660ti is absolutely better Rx 480.

So what is the problem here? I tested this new card in other games like Far Cry 5 and Metro Exodus. FPS is not as high as i was expecting.
There are sharp FPS drops too. I'm playing with settings optimized by Geforce Experince and even i lower settings it's not good.
Still 40 Fps in Warband.

Why is this happening? My other specs are:

CPU: Intel i5 2500k Sandy Bridge
RAM: 8 GB

I re-installed the drivers using DDU but it's not working. Same low FPS in the Warband.
My PSU is Seasonic 620W 80+ Bronze.
I placed the Gpu to the other slot on the motherboard and FPS got a bit better and i don't know the reason for this.
But still i get far less performance than Rx 480.

So what can i do more?

Is this a bottlenecking problem? Is i5-2500k enough for this GPU? Can you guys help please?
I bought this 1660ti expecting much better performance but ended up with worse FPS than my first GPU Amd 6850 that was released in 2010.

You should not loose any FPS by upgrading gpu even if there is a bottleneck. It’s going to be something else.

Are you sure the monitor is plugged into the gpu and not the motherboard?

What are your cpu and gpu temperatures and usages when in game?
I tested the temps and usage of CPU and GPU using Afterburner and temperatures for both are between 57-62 degrees.
Usage of CPU is between 45-55% mostly and sometimes up to 70-75%.
Usage of GPU is mostly 98% in combat but down to 70-80% sometimes.
I'm sure monitor is plugged into the GPU.
