I have tried it with a b450 and x470 board. Passed memtest no error in like 3-4 hrs.
EventViewer shows only kernel error. X470 RGB stays lit on motherboard.

CPU top says UA 1806PGS(clear of segfault, right?).

Fails stock and voltage overclock. Psu rosewell 650 gold, I think. 760Ti. 1700x. 2X8 GB gskill at 2666. 2x ssd, 2xhdd. Gigabyte x470 gaming WiFi 5.

My intel builds have always gone fairly well. Have I erred in some obvious way beyond put cpu in, connect all bits?

Which BIOS version is currently on the motherboard?

Download and unzip the BIOS file to an USB flash drive (version F6 is the latest)
Update the bios of the motherboard within the bios using Q-Flash.

Is the motherboard correctly installed with spacers inside the case?

How hot is the CPU and the GPU getting?

Which exact Roswell 650 gold model is it? If it´s old, it might not suppport C6/C7 power states of the CPU and shuts down randomly.

try a different PSU
try a different GPU

most likely fault, GTX760TI (because of it´s age)

run 3dmark basic edition , click on compare result online after that and post the address from your upcoming browser
