Hello everyone.
I'm building a new system and trying to get the most out of my buck.
I've inspected pretty much every CPU available, but given that I go very High-end components/budget, the Threadripper 1920x versus the i9-7900X isn't such an obvious choice to me as I keep on reading. The Ryzen 1700 with a max overclock is also on my list, but given that I'll be using this PC for the next 4 years without upgrading, I'd like to be as future-proof as possible.
I'm from Belgium and here is in short the pricing:
1920x + X399 mobo= 799+358.95€ = 1157,95
i9-7900X + X299 mobo= 925.95+210€= 1135.95€
I'm doing a lot of rendering work and some gaming on the side on this system.
For me it's not such an obvious choice because price is really close, even with a nod to intel.
All intel CPU's seems to be better for gaming and the rendring time difference won't be big between the two...
Don't know what to do, any ideas?
I'm planning on using this with a 1080Ti and 32GB ram, gaming on a 32" 1440P monitor.
