1GB gddr5 vs 2GB ddr3

I'm building a small system for basic games and I was looking at the r7 250 to pair up with my Athlon x4 845. I can get a 1gb gddr5 option for about the same as a 2gb ddr3 option. Would you recommend I go for the 2gb or would the card not be powerful enough to use all of it? Thanks in advance

I would say go for the GDDR5 as it is much more powerful and will better suit your build. At the end of the day it's up to you but I believe that that is the best way to go. Good luck.
