They should be, yes.

Its pretty hard to design a build now that's not going to be purchased until Christmas. Prices, deals, components change very quickly - especially with such big releases planned between now and December.

Id recommend have a browse over these forums for the next couple of months, see what people are buying, see what people are waiting for, and then come back in December with a proposed build idea and see what feedback you get then

Thanks Also i was wondering if i should get a Sandy Bridge and wait for Ivy bridge (which is Q2 or Q3 of 2012?) And what FPS would i be getting on games like Saints row 3, And SW:TOR?

The i5-2500k is a great value for money processor, unless BullDozer brings out something truly price competitive, I wouldnt hesitate to buy an i5. Waiting round for IvyBridge could be a long wait. If you really did want an IvyBridge processor your best option would be to buy a cheap socket 1155 CPU (i3) and then just swap it for a IvyBridge later on.

In game graphics will be more GPU dependant than CPU. Based on your $1500 budget, you should have no problem buying a GPU that will EASILY run both games in highest details with very good FPS (I presume at least 60fps, since the games you listed aren't too graphically intensive).

The $210 GTX 560Ti range will run all current games maxed out with very good FPS (aside from Metro 2033, since that's a real card-killer). You can expect to look even higher than that on your budget, probably 570/6970 or even as high as a single GTX580.

Waiting a bit for the bulldozer seems like a smart choice to me (thats what im doing right now).

Once the benchamrks are out there, we could see some changes in the prices (lower the sandys if bulldozer is far better, or increase if are very close to them).
So as in stock markets, be on your guard, and ready to act.

Yup, its going to be a VERY hectic few weeks following the first few processor releases.

I ran the mx revolution 5500 desktop, which I really like, and recently gave the mouse to my wife and bought a RAT 7, which is just about the best mouse I have ever ever used. I love it more than.... "other things".

More than anything else, Keyboard and Mouse totally depends on budget. There are huge price differences in these peripheral device's.

Personally I use a Logitech Keyboard with a Logitech MX-518 mouse and couldn't be happier with it. RAZER are also a very popular choice, however they also come at a "premium" price.

Find something you like the look of, check it's within budget, www.google.com some reviews, and unless all the reviews say its terrible, buy it

Be aware of the style of mouse you purchase as well. Personally I like Logitech because it fills the palm of your hand, RAZER mice sit much lower to the desk and have a totally different feel to them.

Also being as your a fair way under the OP's max budget, id consider a 120GB SSD > 60GB.

Agreed on the RAT. I bought the RAT 5 as a replacement for my Razer Naga and DeathAdder (which had odd firmware issues all of a sudden and died within 30mins of each other).

I must say it's quality is superior to Razer's products. First off - machined aluminum vs. plastic. Build quality there is self-explanatory. You also get better fitting options (and moreso with the RAT 7 or 9), because you can adjust the palm, weight, and (RAT 7/9 only) pinkie/thumb. Couple a good metal gaming surface (mouse "pad") and you've got literally one of the smoothest mouse set ups. I use my RAT 5 with a Steelseries SX mat. The metal mats are very large though, so make sure it fits if you want one.
