I am about to buy a new rig later this month, So, I need a monitor for FPS gaming. Right now I have a laptop, I dont know what is the response time on it but im sure its not IPS. I just need a good monitor for the money. In Australia things are more expensive than the US or any where else (i guess)

Which is best for FPS games from THIS LIST ONLY.

23” 5ms IPS AOC I2367FH $184
23” 5ms IPS Acer H236HL $185
23" 4ms IPS Viewsonic VX2370S $194
24" 2ms TN Benq GL2460HM $185
24” 2ms TN Asus VS248H $175
24" 2ms TN Asus VE248H $188
24” 2ms TN Benq RL2450H $179
24" 1ms TN Benq RL2455HM $199

Right now Im interested in 1ms Benq RL2455HM, I dont know why.

TN panels tend to have lower latency than IPS, but don't expect any of these monitors to be anywhere near 5 ms or below - the fastest are probably around 8ms or more.

TN-panels have a tendency to have bleak colours and somewhat dull contrast ratios, but you can easily change this through "digital vibrance" in your graphics card settings.

For FPS games I would definately go with a TN-panel, and since my experience with BenQ has left me somewhat dissapointed (several cases of dead pixels etc.) I would recommend an ASUS monitor.
