1st Custom Built PC need help.

Hi guys, this is my 1st machine I will be building and I'm quite nervous and I need some help from you guys.

The price needs to be below $1750 and the parts must be available on this site http://www.umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=4 because that's were I live and I can just go onto the store. It is meant to be for hardcore gaming that will run most things at max settings at 60fps'ish

So far this is what I have:

What things should I change, add or remove and if it is not on the site please tell me somewhere in the Gold Coast (QLD Australia) were I could possibly get it.

Get the i5-2500k. There is only a very very small difference in gaming when you get the i7.

Your 1000 watts is overkill. Get a 650 to 750watts but a 650 should easily handle it.

I'm not sure about the mobo but isn't it a bit overkill.

Second the i5 2500k for gaming. The i5 can usually overclock even higher than the i7. Get i7 only if you need hyperthreading, used mainly for video editing.

To run most games maxed at high framerate at high resolutions you will need 2 570s running in SLI (or a GTX 590)

1000w PSU is way overkill. To run 2 570s SLI needed PSU would be 750-850w.

Also I will need the i7 as I use After Affects CS5, Vegas Pro 10 and soon may be using Adobe Premiere

Errr. The case is mostly preference. The Haf 912 and 922 are great cases but most of the time as long as the parts fit inside the case, then there's no problem. Antec 300 is good too.

Case: Hehe for the little you pay it's hard to complain about the Antec 300. I'd add at least 1 fan to the front to get the air flowing through, and by the time you've customized it a bit you couldv'e got something like:

Do you have an MSY near you up there on the GC?

The MSY website is nasty but they are usually about as cheap as it gets! Check 1st that there is one near you and then I just download the updated pdf pricelist and give them a call for stock availability, exact part info etc. Range can be limited, but you might be able to save a few $

Okay I have updated my post and have put everything into consideration.

Also I got told to get the GTX 570 Super Overclocked over the GTX580 Super Overclocked because the 580 costs $125 more and only get around 5 fps more. Is this true and should go with the 570 to save some of my money or screw it and go with the 580?

It will varies a lot from game to game. To say an average of 5 fps is probably being a little unfair to the 580:

Is it worth the extra money when the 570 performs so well anyhow??? It's a tough call. From a value perspective probably not, but it's your call. And put a fan on the front of that case! It helps to bring air into that puppy... as well as pushing the hot air out

Any 120mm will do, depending on how much you want to spend and how much you care about noise You don't even need to get it straight away, just something to think about. Have a look what they've got when you go in?
