My 1 TB seagate goflex won't work on any computer but works just fine on LCD screen. I can access all the files and play all multimedia, When I plug it to my laptop or any other computer it gets detected but can't explore it. The HD spins and got a solid white light. I should mention that the data cable has be to bent a little bit upwards for it to be detected, any ideas?

Welcome to the community, hanz7000!

Since the drive spins up but you can't access it, then it should be recognized somewhere. I'd recommend you to check Disk Management and see if the drive appears there (it will show you what is the file system as well). While at it, you should right-click on the volume of your external HDD and check what options you are given. If you can "Change drive letters & Paths, you should try assigning a different drive letter. Here's a tutorial that might help you with that, too: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=E51Aa0
Another thing you should check is Device Manager and see if it's properly detected as a device there. You can even try uninstalling and re-installing it from there ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725782.aspx ).

Hope these help. Keep us posted! :)

if you mean when it was brand new(may be), but as far as I remember it's fat32. Even if this is the case...what happened that caused windows to see it as a raw disk but the tv would still see it as a good media storage device and still play media using it.

it shows under disk management with no further options, same thing happens with magic partition, and other data recovery software. I have the option of formatting and reusing it, i just don't want to lose the data on it. Thanks.
