2 × 4gb ddr4 vs 1 × 8gb ddr4

Iam going to build my pc for programming purpose and a little bit of gaming with ryzen 5 1600 with Nvidia GT 1030, which one memory should I choose
1. 1 × 8gb ddr4 3000mhz or
2 × 4gb ddr4 2666mhz
And
2. 1tb HDD with 128gb SSD or
500gb HDD with 240gb SSD
Please give reply to both questions, thanks in advance

For Ryzen the 2X4 memory set for dual channel it will run faster than the faster single stick.

For the drive it depends on how much storage you need and how good you are at downloading things away from the SSD that don't need to go their filling it up.
128GB is fine for the OS and programs but you would need to redirect all games or whatever to the 1TB hard drive. The 240GB would be easier to manage but gives you less overall storage so can't answer that it depends on you.
